Who We Are
The Minnesota County Attorneys Association is an independent, voluntary organization of County Attorneys dedicated to improving the quality of justice in the State of Minnesota. The Association is a not-for-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors elected annually by the membership.
The members of the Association are dedicated to the accomplishment of this Mission by developing consensus on legal and public policy issues of statewide significance to County Attorneys. The Mission will be implemented competently and professionally while adhering to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

St. Paul, MN. 55102 | | Job Title: Assistant County Attorney 3 | | Job Description: This position will provide legal advice and litigation support to various County Departments. The position requires extensive experience in real estate transactions and valuation. Knowledge of land use issues, property taxation and municipal law is also desired.
Examples of the type of work performed includes: 1) drafting and review of purchase agreements, leases and title commitments; 2) providing advice regarding right of way acquisitions 3) handling condemnation proceedings including commissioner’s hearings and trial; 4) handling tax petitions including discovery, motion practice and trials; 5) reviewing contracts for assigned County Departments; 6) providing general legal advice to County Departments and Agencies including Ramsey County Regional Rail Authority, Property Management, Public Works, Property Records and Revenue, Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation District, and Capital Region Watershed District; and related duties as assigned.
